Vacancy Description

We are looking for a Local Taxation Officer to assist in the collection and recovery of Council Tax and Business Rates

The duties will relate to all aspects of the management of customer accounts. You will be required to deal with enquiries by correspondence, on the telephone and face to face, both on Council premises and at other locations. 

On occasions you will be required to deal with customers in challenging circumstances and therefore good customer service skills are essential. 

You must be a team player with a flexible approach, possess good keyboard skills, and be methodical, numerate, and accurate.

Experience of using the Northgate Revenues systems would be an advantage but full training will be provided.

On gaining experience in this role there is the potential to study for a IRRV (Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation) Qualification
