Are you passionate about ensuring the security and integrity of information?

Do you have experience in event management and analysis within an information security context?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join West Berkshire Council as a Security Info Event Management Analyst.

Reporting to the Information Security Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the confidentiality, availability, and resilience of our information assets.

You will be responsible for developing our SIEM solution, providing the effective monitoring, analysis, and response to security events and incidents, ensuring that any potential threats or vulnerabilities are identified and addressed in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong understanding of information security principles and best practices
  • Experience in event management and analysis, preferably using SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools
  • The ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
