Berkshire Council has an exciting opportunity for you to join Notrees Care Home as a Senior Night Care Officer.

As a Senior Night Care Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents at Notrees Care Home. You will work closely with the Interim Home Manager and other members of the care team to deliver person-centered care, promote independence, and create a safe and nurturing environment for our residents. The Senior Night Care Officer is required to work waking nights on a rota basis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting residents with their daily living activities, including personal care, medication administration, and meal preparation
  • Building positive relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders
  • Supporting residents in participating in social and recreational activities
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Supervising and mentoring staff

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Previous experience in a similar care role, ideally within a residential setting
  • A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the willingness to work shifts as required
