Vacancy Description

Are you looking to kick-start your career in a supportive and dynamic work environment? West Berkshire Council is seeking an Apprentice Business Support Administrator to join our Youth Justice Support Team, based at Merchant House offices. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to the delivery of essential services within the local community. The Youth Justice Support Team is a statutory service who work with young people aged between 10-18 years to prevent offending and reoffending. We offer an 18 month fixed term contract, during which we will work in partnership with a training provider to help you achieve a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.

As an Apprentice Business Support Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Youth Justice Support Team. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with the coordination of meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes
- Handling incoming enquiries and signposting to the appropriate contacts
- Maintaining accurate records and databases
- Supporting the team with general administrative tasks as required

To excel in this role, you should have excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual who is eager to learn and develop their skills within a professional setting. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
