Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity within a supportive and forward-thinking local authority? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Senior Programme Officer to join our Public Health and Wellbeing Service, based at Market Street Offices in West Berkshire.

As the Senior Programme Officer, you will play a key role in the delivery of a wide range of projects and programmes. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing evidence based public health and wellbeing programmes
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on public health and wellbeing
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of programmes, identifying areas for improvement
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external partners

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in leading public health programmes, ideally within a public sector or local government setting
  • Strong public health skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to work
