Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real impact within a forward-thinking local authority? West Berkshire Council is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Transformation Service as a Business Analyst.

As a Business Analyst within our Transformation Service, you will play a key role in driving and delivering transformational change across the organisation. Working closely with the Transformation Unit Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and analysing business processes, gathering requirements, and recommending innovative solutions to improve service delivery and efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to understand business needs and objectives
  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes and systems
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose effective solutions
  • Produce clear and concise documentation, including business cases and process maps
  • Support the implementation of change initiatives, ensuring successful adoption and benefits realization
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of implemented changes, making further recommendations as necessary

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in business analysis and working as a member of a project team, ideally within a public sector or local government environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Prince2) would be advantageous

Please note this role is fixed term for a year after start date – Funding limited project
