Vacancy Description

The WBC Reablement Service are seeking a person to fill the position of Reablement Coordinator Out of Hours service to join the other 3 members of the team  based at the Walnut Close Residential Unit in Thatcham acting as single point of contact for carers, service users, emergency services and relatives.  

Coordinators work a rotational shift pattern which includes morning and evening shifts Monday - Friday and includes working every other weekend and Bank Holidays. If the Bank Holiday falls on your shift pattern you will be expected to work the shift designated. There may also be occasions when you will be expected to work in the Duty Room, West Street House.

Applicants should have experience of working within the adult social care setting and experience in the community or a residential care setting would be advantageous. The ability to produce short written reports in English is an essential skill. NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is essential whilst Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Management would be an advantage.

This is an opportunity to consolidate existing knowledge within a new area of responsibility. Confident in your approach with a good understanding of Reablement / Home Care and the desire to deliver a high quality service are essential requisites. Experience of working with computers and geographical knowledge of West Berkshire would be an advantage.

This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
