Vacancy Description

Based at West Street House, Newbury, a part time Administrative Officer post has become available within the new trailblazing Mental Health Support Team.

The post holder will provide administrative and business support and perform a variety of duties for the Mental Health Support Team (MHST).  The MHST is a multi-disciplinary team that will offer a range of services under the Thrive Elaborated Model. The team will include a range of early intervention workers comprising of Primary Mental Health Workers, Education Mental Health Practitioners and an Outreach Worker.  The team will have specialist support from a Senior BHFT CAMHS Practitioner and will be led by Senior Educational Psychologists.

The post-holder will need to be organised and efficient, ensuring professional and timely service delivery with the ability to work flexibly to achieve timescales, where appropriate. They should be creative and enthusiastic about working in an innovative early intervention service for children and young people and will assist team members in developing child friendly resources and signposting materials, and develop content for use in marketing and advertisement of the MHST.

There will be daily contact with staff at all levels within the Council and with service users of the Council in the course of providing support or handling enquiries. There will be the opportunity for daily contact with the supervisor and planned monthly meetings. The post holder will be dealing with sensitive information on occasion which needs to be handled with discretion and accuracy is very important. 

This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
