Vacancy Description

Although this a full time post, part-time applications will be considered for 18.5 hours or more per week.

The Business Support Administrator in our Contact Advice and Assessment Team is a very busy role working alongside four others to support a front line social work team that carries out statutory social work tasks and court directed work for children and young people in West Berkshire.  On a typical day you will be answering telephone calls from families and professionals, inputting accurate information on to a database, processing email requests, producing letters as well as organising and minuting meetings that can be complex and sensitive.

Although minuting experience would be desirable we are willing to consider applications from those who have good accurate typing speeds and would like to train as competent minute takers.

Job offers will be made to successful interviewees during the course of this advertisement. The advert will close once all vacancies have been filled.

West Berkshire Council offer excellent employment benefits and access to a wide range of relevant training.  You will be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement of 27 days per annum rising to a maximum of 32 days, depending on your hours, how long you have worked for us.

For an informal discussion, please contact Julie Povey, Business Support Manager on 01635 519767 or Shaughna Keet, Support Services Officer on 01635 503158.

Have you also seen our other Business Support Administrator vacancy in our Family Safeguarding Team which is for 30 hours per week Tuesday to Friday 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
