Vacancy Description

 

Required for September 2019:
Teaching Assistant (£18,065 - £18,795 pro rata) / HLTA (£19,554 - £21,589n pro rata) across iCollege with primary focus initially
30 hours (*core and flex). Job share considered

*Core hours are permanent contracted hours, flex is temporary additions based on student numbers and requirements. Flex hours are reviewed each term and can fluctuate. The split is likely to be in the region of 18 hours permanent with 12 hours fixed term on a full 30 hour contract. 4 days a week (24 hours) would generally be split 12 hours permanent and 12 Flex hours.

iCollege provides education for learners who have struggled to access mainstream education and might have SEMH needs. Learners may have been excluded from school, be at risk of exclusion or have attendance issues. We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic and hardworking staff for both our primary and secondary provisions.

The successful applicants will work as part of a strong team of teachers and support staff. Applicants need to be highly motivated, innovative, enthusiastic, flexible, practical and resourceful as well as being able to support learners who can sometimes become angry or distressed. Applicants may find that recent mainstream experience of working with challenging learners is an advantage.

These will be a challenging roles both physically and emotionally, however we offer a supportive Leadership Team as well as ongoing personal development.
